One Good Deed is a non-profit organization which seeks to provide aid in the form of monetary donations, clothing, and medical and educational supplies and training to the underprivileged, impoverished, and under-served people of the world. It is an organization that realizes the possibilities for change when people reach out to one another unselfishly; operating on the premise that “one good deed” may be all it takes to change a life forever.
We are committed to helping others in a way that creates sustainability so that they may learn to help themselves. Toward that end, we seek to provide monetary aid that can be used to buy needed supplies and materials in the country of the people we aid whenever possible, thereby helping the economy of that country as well as keeping shipping costs for the organization to a minimum.
We are committed to forming personal relationships with the people we aid so that we may promote friendship and understanding in other cultures because we believe that this is the true path to peace.
We are committed to maintaining integrity in our projects so that our donors and volunteers can trust that their time and money is being used wisely in the accomplishment of our mission.
We believe that our community is international because today, more than at any other time in history, our actions can have global impact. We choose to make that impact a positive one. Toward that end, we will use recycled materials whenever possible, including in our printed materials which are done on recycled paper with soy ink.
